Meet the farmers

Ian, Peter and Guy Stirling

Our farm in North East Angus has been supplying Bartlett's with potatoes and carrots for the last 25 years. We provide 4 different varieties of potatoes: Maris Piper, Osprey, Charlotte and Rooster. We also grow brussels sprouts and strawberries. As well as fruit and vegetables we grow wheat for livestock feeding, malting barley, oil seed rape for vegetable oil and rearing cattle on our farms.

We have a wide range of farming activities which are designed to preserve and contribute positively to the surrounding environment. We provide nature walks around the cliff tops at our Windyhills farm. We have 3 ponds that also provide a good habitat for wildlife and our wild bee conservation area allows the pollination of our strawberry plants. Aside from farming Ian used to play for Arbroath Football Club in the 1960's. He was also chairman for a period of time.The family used to own Arbroaths only night club in the 80's, known as "Smokies". Back to Farmers
