John Williams - Greenseed

From our farm in Cambridgeshire we have supplied Bartlett's for four years. We grow two varieties for the company, Anya and Vivaldi. We grow all the Anya seed potatoes from mini tuber through the generations to supply all Bartlett's Anya ware growers.

Alongside potatoes we grow a number of other crops, Onions, Beetroot, Turf and Cereals.

We are involved with local schools including supporting local events. Recently we reseeded the local village football pitch.

We are passionate about our local environment and are members of Leaf Marque and Cambridgeshire Wildlife Trust and are involved in High Fen Wetland Reserve which has restored 250 acres of our fertile farmland back to the way it was before the fens were drained. We are also involved with the Cambridgeshire Barn Owl Trust which has increased their numbers on the fens.

We have the responsibility of farming next to Wicken Fen which is Britain's oldest nature reserve which has over 400 insect species which are listed as nationally endangered, rare or scarce. Back to Farmers
