J.C.Gough & Son

Hilltop farm, Rochford, Tenbury Wells is the family home of Roger and Michelle Gough. Our farm, originally the home of a pedigree herd of Hereford cattle, now farmed by the Fourth generation of the family has, over the last twenty years, developed into a substantial potato growing operation. We grow Rooster and Vivaldi for Albert Bartlett and are now into our fourth season supplying to Bartlett’s.

We grow potatoes, wheat, peas, O.S.R. Barley & beans in an arable rotation. We also have 55 single suckle cows, calves and followers. Myself, Michelle, Edward & William are all hands on in a very busy family business. With 6 yr old Olivia lending a hand in the house, and holiday cottages in between school.

In addition to the main farming enterprise myself and Michelle run a range of barn conversion / holiday lets sleeping up to 14 people in two properties and a commercial shoot. All around the picturesque location are strips of wild bird cover totaling some 30 acres, linking into ponds and hedges creating habitat for numerous species.

The family is sponsors and supporters of the local rugby team Luctonions, with Edward playing in the Midlands 1 league for them. Back to Farmers
